(Douglasville, GA)- Douglas County Government has filled various key leadership positions, including the role of Parks & Recreation Director ahead of the retirement of Gary Dukes.
Chadwick Griffin has been appointed as the new Parks & Recreation Director, effective May 1st, 2024. Griffin brings over a decade of dedicated service and extensive experience within the Douglas County Parks & Recreation Department. Having commenced his career with the department 14 years ago, Griffin has demonstrated exceptional leadership and commitment through various roles encompassing athletics, maintenance, aquatics, special needs programming, senior activities, and community events. His deep understanding of the community's needs and his unwavering dedication to enhancing recreational opportunities make him the ideal candidate to succeed the retiring Parks & Recreation Director, Gary Dukes.
The role of Facilities Manager will be filled by Stephanie Morgan, effective May 1st. Morgan, with her wealth of experience and proven track record, is poised to excel in her new role, succeeding the retiring Mark Price. Her leadership will be instrumental in ensuring the continued upkeep and improvement of our facilities.
Furthermore, the department is pleased to announce the appointment of Greg Mooneyham as the Assistant Deputy Director of Parks and Recreation. Mooneyham's expertise and passion for community engagement will be invaluable in supporting the department's mission to provide outstanding recreational services to the residents of Douglas County.
