Douglas County Board of Commissioners Provides Statement On Passing of Former First Lady Sandra Deal
Douglas County, GA – Douglas County Commission Chairwoman, Dr. Romona Jackson Jones and the Board of Commissioners today provide the following statement on the passing of former First Lady Sandra Deal.
“We are deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Former First Lady Sandra Deal. She brought so many gifts through her devotion and commitment to education and literacy to Douglas County and all over the state of Georgia.
Mrs. Deal worked tirelessly as an advocate for students during her eight years in the Governor’s Mansion alongside her loving husband former Governor Nathan Deal. Words cannot begin to express our sorrow. The entire Douglas County Board of Commissioners sends our prayers to Former Governor Nathan Deal and their family.”
