Douglas County Animal Services will be closed today 4/20/2023 for disinfecting. They have had several sick animals come into their care that can spread infection to both animals and people. Out of an abundance of precaution for the animals in their care and the safety of the staff, and the community, they are disinfecting every area of the shelter. They will re-open to the public on 4/21/2023. They will continue to have Animal Control Officers responding to calls and they can be reached by phone and email. We thank you for your cooperation and patience as this matter gets taken care of!
