Each day, between 5:45 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. the Douglas County Emergency Management Agency (EMA), in conjunction with E-911, performs a routine *silent* test of the Outdoor Warning Siren.
Over the course of the past month, EMA has been working to refine operations, including shifting the manual silent test to an automated daily test to safeguard against the potential for human error. The automated system is now operational.
Additionally, the first Wednesday of the month EMA conducts an *audible* monthly test of the Outdoor Warning Siren at 12:00 p.m. (noon). Please be advised, the next scheduled monthly test is this Wednesday, November 6, 2024, weather permitting.
