Due to the threat of inclement weather, the following County facilities and services will be closed and/or suspended on Saturday, January 31:

• Douglas County Connect Douglas (service suspended Saturday)• Douglas County Parks and Recreation programs and facilities• Douglas County Libraries• Douglas County Animal Services• Douglas County Waste Transfer Station and Recycling Center (Center Mountain Landfill)

Additionally, the First United Methodist Church Youth Center will be open as a warming center from 5 PM to 9 AM daily until further notice.

Douglas County is now accepting applications for the 2026 Community Services Provider (CSP) Program. The Douglas County CSP Program provides funding to organizations that support the delivery of essential services and address unmet needs of Douglas County residents. Funding supports programs in Arts & Culture, Community Development, and Health & Human Services. 

Applicants must demonstrate measurable outcomes that directly benefit Douglas County residents, have the administrative capacity to administer funds and oversee the program, and agree to all programmatic and financial reporting requirements. Eligible applicants include nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations serving Douglas County, faith-based organizations (funds must support non-religious projects benefiting all residents), and organizations in good standing with the Georgia Secretary of State.

The application period is January 26, 2026, through February 27, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.Applications must be submitted to grants@douglascountyga.gov. For additional information, contact Jill Hopson at jhopson@douglascountyga.gov.
